JEFF EDWARDS MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL

A Mandate of

Truth and Freedom

Dr. Jeff Edwards, Th.B., Th.M., D.D., Ph.D.
(Biographical Sketch)

Jeff Edwards has 49 years of continuous ministry, which includes over 48 years as an itinerant minister, and 45 years as a pastor. The focus of the ministry given by the Lord to Jeff Edwards is in the laying down and pioneering of present truth, as it relates to the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, the person of the Holy Spirit, the Church and God’s purposes for our times. The ministry is multifaceted, involving reaching the youth of this generation, ministering to other ministers, and breaking down racial, denominational, and traditional walls that have divided and hindered the advancement of the church. This unique commission is especially directed towards seeing inner-cities and urban areas in the United States as well as other nations where people are oppressed or disenfranchised, revitalized by the power of God, and establishing strong men and restoring families. This commission has broadened to an international level in relation to the restoration of the black family and dealing with racism in the Church.

To accomplish these goals, the Lord uses Jeff Edwards as a catalyst for bringing revival to many cities in the U.S. and abroad. He is known for his bold, truthful and at times humorous presentation of the gospel, ministering under an apostolic anointing, with a prophetic thrust.

Jeff Edwards answered his call to preach as a result of a divine visitation by the Lord Jesus Christ, much like that of the Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus. To develop in the commission given to him, Jeff Edwards was sent to a local church for a season of training and character development. After a time of processing, he was ordained and sent out to fulfill his God-given purpose and commission.

In May of 1977, Jeff Edwards founded Inner-City Christian Center (now called Freedom Christian Center Church), where he remains Senior Pastor. By the direction of the Holy Spirit and under Jeff Edwards’ leadership, a two million dollar, six acre church campus was acquired. That campus housed a 2-year Bible College, Christian Academy for grades K-3 through 8th grade, a TV Ministry and studio, a tape ministry, bookstore, a printing company, and Fountainhead Ministries, which is the foreign mission arm of the Church. The church functioned in this location for ten years. In July of 2000, the church’s facility was relocated to the urban core of Kansas City. The church has continued fulfilling their original vision in ministering to the needs of those in urban areas, especially in strengthening the family unit, marriages, and helping people pursue their God-given destiny and establishing God’s purpose in their lives.

As an itinerant minister since 1975, Jeff Edwards has ministered in most of the States in the United States; Haiti; Trinidad; The Virgin Islands; St. Vincent; Barbados; Dominica; Bahamas; Jamaica; Mexico; Nigeria, West Africa; South Africa; Canada; Guyana-South America; Queensland, Australia in the cities of Townsville, Cairns, Ayr, Innisfail and Palm Island; Western, Australia in the cities of Kununurra, Oombulgurri, and Wyndham; New South Wales, Australia in the city of Dubbo; The United Kingdom in the cities of London, England; Bedford, Bedfordshire-England; and Aylesburg, Buckingham-England; and the island/nation of Papua New Guinea. He has had the privilege and honor to address many Prime Ministers and Representatives of Government within many of these countries and islands.
